MessRewarder v1.2a
-----------------
MessRewarder is a little tool that simply let's you define how many
bytes and/or files to give to a user for each publicmess he/she writes.
It's so simple as that....
Included in this archive should be :
MessConfig - The Configurationprogram
MessRewarder - The main program
MessRwrd.DOC - This .DOC-file!!
Catalogs/Svenska/
Catalogs/English/ - MessConfig.catalog + MessRewarder.catalog
If anythings missing, you should complain to the person who gave it
to you , and request from him, the complete archive.
What's new in 1.2a?
------------------
Fixed an annoying bug which occured when you did a local login.
The configuration program now has a nice GUI-frontend instead of
the old boring 'terminal'-type. Both programs are also fully localised,
although it only supports english and swedish.
But what if I want it in another language?
------------------------------------------
Well, there's three easy ways you can go then:
1/ Mail me and tell me you're interested in making a catalog for
you're desired langauge, and I'll mail you the necessary files
and description of what to do.
2/ Get yourself a copy of CatEdit and edit one of the included
catalog-files!
3/ Edit the catalog in an ordinary text/hex/whatever-editor.
(not recommended!)
No 1 I think is the best alternative, since that way ALL people
interested in a certain catalog will benefit from it.
How to install MessRewarder
---------------------------
It's fairly easy to install this tool. First you have to be sure
that you got the Cnet assign's ready. Then you run the MessConfig
file, and just type in how many bytes and files you wish to give to
a user, it will then save your config. Second thing to do is to
install the main file called MessReward. This should be added to
your sys.welcome file (it's in the Systext: dir.) like this:
#2pfiles:MessRewarder logon}
^ ^
| | The path to where you put the file ,i.e Pfiles.
|
Thats a <CTRL+Q>
Next thing to do is to install the Mainfile into your bbstext.
which you will find in CNet:). Line 99 should be something
like '@ Logoff completen1'. At the end of that line
you should add:
#Pfiles:MessRewarder logoff}
^ ^
| | Path to the messrewarder-file, i.e Pfiles.
|
This is an <CTRL+Q>
Now reload your bbstext-file and it shall all be working perfectly.
Equipment.
----------
MessRewarder is compiled using SAS C v6.56 and tested on Cnet v3.05c,
running on an 1meg chip, 2meg fast , A500. Hopefully it won't cause
any trouble, and however , I don't take responsibility if the program
fucks up.
Who's allowed to use MessRewarder?
----------------------------------
Well, anyone can use the program as they want's as long as they obey
the following rules :
1/ You may not alter ANYTHING in neither the executebles nor the
doc'files, although you're allowed to edit the catalog-files
as much as you want.
2/ If you gonna spread the tools , you MUST have all the files
in it's original archive, and it's strictly forbidden to charge
any money for it.
If you follow these rules, everything is OK!
BugReports.
-----------
Well this is the most boring part of 'em all. Even in a simple tool
like this , those damned bugs are there. So if you find anyone, please
report it to me , so i can change it as quick as possible (you can of
course give me some ideas of improvement or ideas for other tools), at
